Sponge Cake


Ingredients

  • 5/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 6 egg yolks separate from whites
  • 6 egg whites separate from yolks
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

 

Instructions

  1. Mix 1/2 cup of sugar with all egg whites. Beat until stiff. Set aside
  2. Mix rest of ingredients until smooth
  3. Knead first mixture of egg whites and sugar into second mixture
  4. Bake at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes
